Maria Ferrera, Senior Vice President, Data and Analytics at AbleTo
Maria Ferrera leads the Enterprise Reporting and Data Science team at AbleTo, a telehealth company providing behavioral health services. In this role, she works with data scientists and data analysts to identify members who could benefit from BH services and evaluate the impact of these services. Previously, Maria was Vice Present of BHI’s Analytic Consulting and Data Science team. She led a team of heath care analysts and data scientists to conduct a wide variety of projects for the entire Blue system from provider measurement to predictive modeling.
Maria has over 25 years’ experience in healthcare and analytics. Her focus has been on using data and analytics to drive healthcare strategy for large employers and healthcare companies. Maria has a MA in Psychology from the University of Minnesota and a BA in Psychology from Brandeis University.
Adam McElhinney, Chief Data Science Officer and Vice President of Insights at Paylocity.
Adam oversees a team of 65 data scientists, software engineers, data engineers and product managers. Formerly, he was Head of Data Science at Uptake Technologies, where he led a team of 75 Data Scientists building cutting-edge industrial data analytics tools. Additionally, Adam is an Adjunct Professor in the Computer Science and Mathematics departments at Illinois Institute of Technology. Adam holds a Masters in Statistics from University of Illinois-Chicago and has undergraduate degrees in Mathematics, Economics and Political Science from Indiana University-Bloomington. Additionally, Adam has filed 19 patents for his research in machine learning, internet of things (IOT), software engineering and big data technology.
Jessica Trail, Senior Data Scientist at Chamberlain Group
Jessica is a Senior Data Scientist on the Advanced Analytics team at Chamberlain Group, responsible for the design, development, and deployment of advanced predictive & prescriptive analytical methods to shape business strategy & drive growth. She recently led the development of an enterprise data strategy and is the Marketplace Pillar Chair of CGI’s Women’s Network Business Resource Group. Prior to joining Chamberlain Group in 2019, Jessica was a research statistician at Argonne National Laboratory and at The Methodology Center within Penn State’s College of Health and Human Development. Jessica has a B.A. in psychology, a B.A. in mathematics/statistics, and an M.S. in statistics from Miami University. Her Ph.D. is in statistics from Penn State University.
