Analytics Leaders Network members include a diverse group of business and technology leaders from small and midmarket organizations to Fortune 500 global companies. The ALN Member Advisory Board was formed to represent ALN’s diverse membership community and assist ALN Management in growing the group with a continued focus on collaboration, thought leadership, best practice sharing and peer networking. The Board’s primary role is to ensure quality content and other value added services are provided by the ALN to its membership.

Bill Bernabei is the Practice Lead for the Business Analytics Group deployed across CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) business delivering operational and integrated insights to corporate occupier clients. Under his leadership he provides direct oversight to the Business Analytics Platform that delivers business intelligence solutions across the organization, data governance oversight, embedded strategists framework, variable consulting services and the promotion of enabling of a data driven culture to accelerate the making informed decisions based on insights derived from data. In addition, serves as an advisor and strategist on the overall Digital and Technology strategy and the overall analytics roadmap across CBRE. Bill brings over twelve years of real estate experience in the areas of portfolio strategy, CRM, performance management, location analytics, financial and operational management. Bill holds a Six Sigma Black belt and earned his Masters of Arts in Real Estate from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Liautaud Graduate School of Business and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management & Marketing from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
JoAnna Ecke is the Senior Director of Clinical Product Development & Analytics at Catamaran Rx. In this role, she is responsible for driving clinical product development and the analytics platform strategy to support predictive analytics and data visualization. Prior to the clinical focus, she managed the development and operations of the Data Warehouse Business Intelligence & Analytics platforms at Catamaran. Previous to her role at Catamaran, JoAnna held several technology leadership roles at HAVI Global Solutions to support Global Supply Chain Analytics and Promotions Management. JoAnna brings twenty years of technology experience in the areas of business process automation, global data management and business intelligence. JoAnna earned a BA in Accounting and an MS in Management Information Systems from North Central College. She currently serves on the Board of Advisors for North Central’s MBA programs.
Tony Lopykinski – ALN Program Director
Tony Lopykinski is a 25+ year leader within the data analytics, business intelligence, and data warehousing space. Since founding Maven Advisors in 2008, Tony has helped guide dozens of small mid-markets to Fortune 500 companies in achieving greater results and value from their data analytics investment. As a trusted partner, he has advised Maven’s clients in maturing all aspects of their analytics program including data analytics strategy, data architecture, technology selection, organization development and project execution. Prior to Maven, he served as the Global Analytics and BI Director for McDonald’s Corporation, where he led the development and execution of the company’s enterprise business intelligence and analytics strategy and BI Competency Center. Tony founded the Analytics Leaders Network (ALN) in 2013 to provide a community for analytics leaders to share best practices, collaborate and grow their professional networks.
Adam McElhinney is currently the Chief Data Science Officer and Vice President of Insights at Paylocity. In his role, Adam oversees a team of 65 data scientists, software engineers, data engineers and product managers. Formerly, he was Head of Data Science at Uptake Technologies, where he led a team of 75 Data Scientists building cutting-edge industrial data analytics tools. Additionally, Adam is an Adjunct Professor in the Computer Science and Mathematics departments at Illinois Institute of Technology. Adam holds a Masters in Statistics from University of Illinois-Chicago and has undergraduate degrees in Mathematics, Economics and Political Science from Indiana University-Bloomington. Additionally, Adam has filed 19 patents for his research in machine learning, internet of things (IOT), software engineering and big data technology.
Dan Pikelny is the Chief Analytics Officer for Navistar, managing the enterprise-wide analytics function supporting all areas of the 185-year old, multi-billion dollar global manufacturing company. He leads a team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts working to improve the company’s ability to model, predict, and improve decision making and operational performance across all levels. The goal is to develop a competitive advantage for Navistar by leveraging data from areas such as sales and marketing, quality and engineering, and IoT telematics data from over 300,000 vehicles. Dan’s academic background includes undergraduate and graduate degrees from Northwestern University in applied math and economics, as well as an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Dan Reaume has over 20 years of experience leading the development and delivery of analytic solutions and strategies for several of the world’s largest and most iconic companies. After completing his Ph.D. at the University of Michigan, Dan joined GM R&D, where he was awarded GM’s top technical award on three occasions, rose to the rank of fellow, and led GM’s Senior Leadership Technical Council. Dan subsequently held leadership positions with Dow Corning, Dow Chemical, and Revenue Analytics before assuming his current role of leading Cat Digital Analytics for Caterpillar. This organization, comprising over 100 data scientists, applies advanced analytics to telematics, aftermarket sales, business optimization, and e-commerce. Dan has a long track record of service to the Analytics profession, teaching at the University of Michigan’s College of Engineering as an adjunct professor for almost two decades and serving on advisory boards for Michigan State and Wayne State universities. He is also a licensed professional engineer and attorney.
Rich Rooney is currently Director of Technical Account Analytics at Conversant Media, a division of Epsilon and Alliance Data Systems. At Conversant, Rich develops custom analytic products and services leveraging Conversant’s large volume of digital click-stream data. Prior to joining Conversant, Rich held analytics leadership roles at HAVI Global Solutions(HGS) where he led analytic teams that focused on Marketing, Operational and Supply Chain analytics that supported HAVI’s services for McDonald’s. Prior to HGS, Rich spent 8 years at Information Resources (IRI) in their analytic Research and Development group. Rich also spent some time with Cambridge Technology Partners working as a consultant in their Data Warehouse domain. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Miami University (OH) and a Master’s in Economics also from Miami.
Chuck Sample is the VP of Insights and Analytics at US Foods. Chuck leads a team of nearly 100 professionals that support all aspects of analytics across the enterprise including data/BI governance, forecasting, business analytics, data science, predictive analytics and deep learning. Within this team are R&D capabilities branded ‘Food Genius’ with a key focus on restaurant operations and market data intended for vendor and operator syndication/monetization. Additionally, embedded within the Insights & Analytics team are strategy, change management, and program management professionals who, under the brand ‘CookBook’, identify business opportunities with significant growth and/or profit improvement potential through the deployment of prescriptive analytics. This internal consulting team builds business cases, develops pilots integrating process design, tool development, change management and advanced analytics, and manages roll-out deployment.
Sudeshna Sen is the Vice President of Analytics at Merkle and currently heads B2B and Nonprofit verticals. She supports clients with creative data-driven tech-enabled solutions to drive growth in revenue and maximize returns on marketing investments. She brings 15+ years of B2B and B2C marketing and sales experience to drive sustainable growth across multiple verticals including hi-tech, financial services, retail and health. Prior to joining Merkle, Sudeshna held key leadership positions in marketing with focus on driving business growth. Sudeshna is an industry thought leader with multiple publications in CustomerThink, NonProfitPRO and BenefitsPRO. She has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, MS from University of Illinois at Chicago, and BS from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kharagpur.
Steven Wheeler is a decisive, action-oriented, result focused professional with extensive years of experience leading analytical/data application teams delivering scalable solutions on diverse set of technology platforms. Steven currently serves as Vice President of Business Intelligence for Gallagher Bassett where he is responsible providing Business Intelligence/Insights based on proprietary and industry/company specific data. Steven is responsibilities include setting overall data strategy, data architecture, and data governance. Prior to joining Gallagher Bassett, Steven held key leadership positions for a number of brand name organization such as Sears Holdings, McDonalds, Keane, and TAVA Technologies. Steven’s passion lies in areas of Analytics/Business Intelligence, Data Architecture, and Data Integration. Steven holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Grand Canyon University.
Shilpa Yelamaneni is the Vice President of Data and Analytics for Archer Daniels Midland (ADM). Prior to ADM, she served as Director of Data Science and Advanced Analytics at Ecolab. Shilpa has over 20 years of industry and consulting experience leading Analytics and Data Science solutions for manufacturing, consumer products, retail, life sciences, and distribution industries. She is recognized as a Data Champion for her contributions and thought leadership in the industry. Passionate about driving business growth & transformation, she has led multidisciplinary teams in defining and delivering high impact digital, customer engagement, product innovation strategies successfully. She focuses on building high-performing analytics organizations, driving data analytics transformation programs, change management, business adoption, and analytics value generation. Complementing her professional background, Shilpa holds an MBA from Booth (University of Chicago) and a Masters Degree in Information Systems from UIC.
